The Dancer of the Year award recognizes an outstanding dancer who consistently demonstrates enthusiasm to do their best through discipline, attitude and commitment. Each recipient is awarded a cash scholarship and an individual plaque.

Judy Lascelle Memorial Award

Judy Lascelle worked at the studio for over ten years. Her love of dance and the performing arts inspired everyone around her. She is remembered for the way she empowered all students to achieve their goals.

The Judy Lascelle Memorial Award recognizes an outstanding dancer in the recreational division who consistently demonstrates outstanding attendance, commitment, and enthusiasm. Each recipient is awarded a cash scholarship and an individual plaque.

Dancing with Wings Scholarship

"You need to be challenged in life, in order to grow." – Elizabeth Ryan

Elizabeth Ryan was a former dance instructor at Happiness is Dancing. Elizabeth’s life was tragically cut short in 2008. During her time at HID she graced us all with her warm smile and passion for life through dance.

The Ryan family continues to remember Elizabeth with an annual memorial Dancing with Wings award. The award is presented to a Competitive Dancer, who displays the qualities that Elizabeth exemplified, a true passion for dance, team spirit and selflessness.
